Dr. Charlene Brown

Dr. Charlene Brown

Dr. Charlene Brown grew up in New Orleans but considers Atlanta her home. Dr. Brown is a proud “Rattler” alum, receiving both her bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Florida A&M University. Dr. Brown spent six years as a successful business management consultant working for top Fortune 500 consulting firms such as Accenture and Deloitte Consulting, LLC. In 2009, she decided to answer a deeper calling and pursue her dream of becoming a dentist. Dr. Brown earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 2015. While at LSU, she was awarded the Outstanding Student Award by Dental Lifeline Network’s Brian D. Stone and was selected as LSU’s 2015 representative for the American Dental Education Association’s pre-dental brochure.

Dr. Brown is committed to excellence in her field and takes many hours of continuing education courses each year so she can provide her patients with the best care available. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the North Georgia Dental Society, the Northern District Dental Society, the Hinman Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Brown has always enjoyed giving back to her community and lives by the phrase “paying it forward.” Dr. Brown has always felt a passionate sense of duty to serve her community. One of her favorite quotes is by renowned author Maya Angelou, “…you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.”

Dr. Brown has over 100 volunteer hours, donating her time to the both Good Samaritan Health Clinic and the Ben Massell Dental Clinic in Atlanta, GA, working with underserved individuals who have limited access to dental health care. Because of her dedication to others, Dr. Brown earned The American Association of Public Health Dentistry Community Outreach Award in 2015. Dr. Brown has been involved with the Thomas P. Hinman Society, serving as a panelist for the annual Women in Dentistry session, and as both a participant and contributor to Georgia’s Diversity in Dentistry Group, which she has been involved with since 2009.

Dr. Bristol Williams

Dr. Bristol Williams

Dr. Bristol Williams has one simple goal in mind and that’s to uplift the community and to bring confidence back into their lives one smile at a time. Her patients fondly call her Dr. B and she’s often working in the Greater New Orleans and Atlanta area. Dr. Williams is the owner of 2 dental offices in the Greater New Orleans. Dr. Williams, born and raised in St. Louis, spend most of her childhood in her dad’s Periodontist office and with her mother who is a retired school teacher. Both of her parents pushed education as the highest priority. Her older sister is a dentist and younger sister is a lawyer and they all understand their strict upbringing would be worth it in the end.

Dr. Williams followed her father’s footsteps as a Periodontist and attended Rutgers University, Xavier University, University of Tennessee and Meharry Medical College during her dental journey. Dr. Williams saw herself in Atlanta after her residency in Tennessee and opened her first practice in 2009. Dr. Williams opened 2 offices in the city but after her lease was up, she knew New Orleans would be her next stop to continue her purpose of helping others. Especially, after she found out there wasn’t any African American Periodontists in the city of New Orleans, she knew there was yet another feat to conquer. Dr. Williams continues to break barriers in the city of New Orleans by once again filling a void in the city by opening an office catering to the Hispanic community.

You can find Dr. B traveling often in between managing her dental offices. “Traveling helps you understand other people, and accepting other people as they are. Milan is my favorite place to visit to enjoy the city and eat.” Dr. Williams doesn’t set goals, instead, she listens and is present in the situation and enjoys the journey.  “I’ve fallen in love with helping people, my ministry literally comes through my hands. I’m looking forward to what’s next.”
